Tools and Accessories


Here is a list of recommended tools to help you build the model kits:

  • Razor knife (X-ACTO®)
  • Scoring stylus (used up ball point pen refill)
  • Ruler
  • Rubber cement (Devcon® home Contact Cement)
  • Small scissors for cutting paper

Huntly's Paper Warplane Kits look great straight out of the box.  If you would like to customize and further enhance your planes, here are some possible ideas:

  • Black garment buttons for wheels (9/16" to 3/4" diameter)
  • Balsa wood nose block (1" x 1" x 1/2")
  • Sewing pin for propeller shaft
  • Bead bearing for propeller shaft (1/16" diameter, use DUCO® Clear Cement which dries hard)
  • Aluminium sheet cut from a soda can to strengthen propeller blades (cut with old scissors)
  • Aluminium sheet cut and folded in half to strengthen landing gear (cut with old scissors)
  • Aluminium sheet cut and folded in half to strengthen wing dihedral (cut with old scissors)
  • Soda straw for fuselage spine (1/4" to 5/16" diameter)
  • Thin straight broom straws to add rigidity to lower wings of biplanes and inside of wing struts
